Terms & Conditions
Conditions Générales de Vente
These terms govern every purchase made on vaiyn.com. They are written to be readable. By placing an order you agree to them, so please take a moment to read them carefully. If anything is unclear, write to legal@vaiyn.com.
1. Who we are
VAIYN is a French micro-entreprise based in Strasbourg, founded by Litan Alexandru Răzvan and Cherif Sow. Our full identification details, including our SIREN number [à compléter], are published on the legal notice page.
2. Our products
We sell fine jewelry in 925 sterling silver — bracelets, chains, cuffs, and limited editions. Each product page describes the materials, dimensions, and care instructions. Photographs are as faithful as possible; small variations in finish, weight, and polish are inherent to craftsmanship and are not defects.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in euros (€). As a micro-entreprise currently below the French VAT threshold, we do not charge VAT on our sales (art. 293 B of the French General Tax Code — "TVA non applicable"). Should this status change, prices will be updated accordingly.
Shipping is calculated at checkout and may be free above the thresholds described in our shipping policy. Import duties and local taxes for non-EU buyers are not included in the price and remain the customer's responsibility.
4. Ordering
- Choose your pieces and add them to the bag.
- Review your order, shipping address, and delivery option at checkout.
- Pay securely through our payment provider.
- Receive a confirmation email with your order number. This confirmation forms the contract between us.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in case of a suspected payment fraud, an evident pricing error, or stock unavailability. In that event we will refund any amount already paid.
5. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe in a secure environment. We accept major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay and Google Pay. Klarna "pay in instalments" is planned and will be available at a later date. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
6. Delivery
Estimated delivery times from dispatch:
- France — 3 to 5 business days, via La Poste / Colissimo.
- European Union — 5 to 7 business days, via Chronopost.
- United Kingdom — 4 to 7 business days, via DHL.
- Rest of the world — 7 to 14 business days, via DHL Express.
A tracking number is sent by email once your order ships. Full details are in our shipping policy.
7. Right of withdrawal
You have 14 calendar days from the date of delivery to notify us that you wish to withdraw from your purchase, without having to give a reason, in accordance with Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code. To be accepted, the piece must be unworn, in its original VAIYN pouch and packaging, with the hang tag still attached.
Return shipping is at the customer's charge, as permitted by Article L.221-23 of the Consumer Code. We recommend using a tracked method; we cannot be held liable for parcels lost or damaged on their way back to us. If a returned piece does not meet the conditions above, it is shipped back to the customer at their cost.
Where the withdrawal is accepted, the refund is issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receipt of the parcel, in accordance with Article L.221-24.
Final-sale items are excluded from the right of withdrawal in accordance with Article L.221-28 of the Consumer Code. This includes engraved pieces, personalized pieces, and made-to-order items.
The full process is described in our returns policy.
8. Warranty
All our pieces benefit from the legal warranty of conformity (Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) for 2 years from delivery, and the legal warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code). In addition, VAIYN offers a 1-year craftsmanship warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal use. Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or natural wear is not covered.
9. Intellectual property
The VAIYN name, logo, product designs, photographs, and editorial content are protected by intellectual property law. They may not be reproduced, adapted, or redistributed without our prior written consent.
10. Liability
VAIYN is liable for any foreseeable direct loss resulting from a breach of these terms. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profits, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Dispute resolution
In the event of a disagreement, please contact us first at hello@vaiyn.com. We always try to find an amicable solution. If we cannot, EU consumers may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
These terms are governed by French law. The competent courts are those of Strasbourg, subject to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where the consumer is resident.
12. Changes
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the law or in how we operate. The terms applicable to your order are those in force on the date you place it.
